What is a Huguenot cross?

The Huguenots were French Protestants associated with the Reformed tradition. Their cross became a recognizable expression of that heritage. In traditional Christian interpretations, its four fleurs-de-lis represent the Four Gospels, their twelve petals recall the Twelve Apostles, and the open spaces form four hearts. The dove below symbolizes the Holy Spirit.
